The Hurricanes despite a 7-0 record and beginning the week ranked #1 in the RPI continue to site outside the AP Rankings. Miami is ranked 27th in total votes up from 31st last week, but still two places shy of being ranked for the first time since the final rankings in the 2001-2002 season. The highest Miami has been since then was 26th in the poll the week of January 25, 2005 when Miami faced Duke and North Carolina losing both and not receiving votes again in the poll for several weeks.

We lost votes in the ESPN Coaches poll. I guess they expected us to beat the Johnies by 50!
