I must say I am truly amazed that with all of the current good non conference matchups that any team, especially Miami has managed a three week solid run atop the RPI rankings.
The current Top 5:
1- Miami
2- Texas A&M
3- Vanderbilt
4- Texas
5- Memphis
Now the other four teams in the Top 5 are all of a top 10 national caliber. Memphis, and the two Texas schools are recognized as such, while Vanderbilt is finally getting its just due in the past week or so. The fact that Miami has played no RPI Top 20 opposition, but yet has only one team on its schedule thus far ranked below 150th in the RPI speaks to the excellent scheduling the Canes have done to this point. But don't expect the Canes to stay ranked this high. With minnows such as Stetson and North Florida looming, a tumble is coming.

When do the polls come out?
Tomorrow afternoon. This seems like 1998,1999 and 2001 when we had to be that much better than everyone else to be ranked. However, those years once we were ranked especially in 2001-02 multiple losses to bad teams didn't throw us out of the polls. The pollsters are fickle and don't watch enough Basketball to truly make judgements on who the best teams are beyond the top 5 to 7.
