NCAA Resume: Miami

Wake Forest's win over Duke last night greatly complicates matters for Miami. The Blue Devils will not lose two games in a row. Coach K will not allow it. So I already have a "L" in ink for Wednesday Night. However Miami's NCAA resume is still very much worth looking at, but this makes Miami's Saturday game against Maryland a must win.

Miami

RPI: 35th
SOS: 49th
Road/Neutral: 7-4 (Pure road games and neutral games outside the home area)
Home/Neutral: 9-3 (Pure home games and neutral games in the home area)
Conference: 4-6
Last 10: 4-6
Best Win : @ #42 Mississippi State
Worst Loss: #90 Florida State

Based on this resume if the season ended right now, Miami would just miss the NCAAs. If the season ended today no team from the state of Florida would be in the tournament for the first time since 1997, and only the second time since 1985. Florida, the two time defending national champion have an RPI of #58, SOS of #129, are 5-5 in their last ten games and are 2-3 in road/neutral games.

You and all the snobs at Grassy don't deserve to have a good team to support. Over there they are counting Duke as a loss already also because they are coming off a loss. Has Duke never lost two in a row?

They are collapsing. Five guys fouled out yesterday. You guys took it to them inside in the first game. If you can get Nelson and Singler out like Wake did, you will win. I'll be pulling for you guys!
