Miami loses a QB Commit for the Third Straight Year
Wonder why Miami has had only two QBs to choose from the past few years? Because Miami continues to lose QB commits. Three years ago it was Derek Shaw who de-committed and ended up at Arizona State. Last year it was Pat Devlin who headed to Penn State and this year it is Nick Fanuzzi who said he "wanted to be part of something special" and is headed to Alabama. Instrumental in recruitment of Fanuzzi away from Miami, was Major Applewhite the new OC at Bama. Fanuzzi from San Antonio grew up watching Applewhite lead the Texas Longhorns to glory. All may not be lost for Miami, as new OC Patrick Nix, a former Auburn great sets his sights on poaching QB Robert Mavre a top national recruit away from his Bama commitment. With Nick Saban having ditched South Florida for Bama and Patrick Nix, a Tiger great leading Miami's offense and all these other recruiting subplots Miami and Bama are destined to be on some sort of collision course it appears.

Three Strikes and You Are Out of Luck! ( Unless Patrick Nix can save the day)

Mitch Mustain is transfering to Miami from what I have heard from multiple people. Trust me- this is happening and since he has to sit a year no freshman is coming to Miami this year because he'll start 3 years for UM. Houston Nutt was a jack ass to start Dick after Mustain won 8 games in a row as a starter. Dick lost all 3 games he started.
