The headline says it all. After just 24 hours, the Miami coaching search is officially a mess ala Florida in 2001/2002. Miami, it appeared several days ago would not pull the trigger on firing Larry Coker unless they could secure a big name coach. Miami is now stuck trying to either lure Barry Alvarez out of retirement, hiring an NFL coordinator or with going after a mid major coach. A possibility remains that Randy Shannon, the Defensive Coordinator for the Hurricanes since 2001 and former UM player could be promoted to Head Coach.
Any wonder why SI said Miami should drop Football ten years ago?
