Report: Jai Lucas may transfer to Miami

Rivals.com is reporting that Jai Lucas who announced his intention to transfer from Florida two weeks ago is strongly leaning towards Miami. This is surprising considering Miami has Malcolm Grant coming in next season as a transfer. Lucas started every game with the Gators last season but decided to leave the Florida program after Kenny Boynton the top High School PG in the nation committed to Florida in early November. Lucas would be junior should he transfer to Miami and be eligible to play in December 2009. Per NCAA rules Lucas loses a year of eligibility for playing for Florida in an exhibition game prior to the 2008-09 season.
