Miami guard Jack McClinton was ejected in the first half for a flagrant foul.
McClinton, which had 12 points, was ejected for a dead ball flagrant foul for allegedly taking an open-hand swing at Ohio State's Anthony Crater.
Miami leads the game, 36-22, at the half at the BUC.
According to the ESPN broadcast crew -- and the in-studio analysts -- Miami dodged a bullet by it being only a dead-ball flagrant foul as opposed to a fighting foul. A flagrant foul comes with an automatic ejection and one-game suspension. If the NCAA were to review the tape and determine it to be a fighting foul, McClinton would be out for a longer period of time.
As of right now, however, McClinton is out for the rest of the game against Ohio St. and will be suspended for at least one game according to the NCAA rulebook.
