The momentum for Frank Haith's Basketball team is amazing. Not only have the Canes been picked in the Top 25 by every single College Basketball preview currently on the newsstands, but recruiting is becoming a well oiled machine for Coach Haith just months after finishing in the NCAA Tournament with a team which had only one player on the roster who had been a top 150 national recruit.
DeQuan Jones one of the top recruits in the South joins UM this year as does Malcolm Grant a Villanova transfer who was one of the nation's top recruits a year ago. Grant must sit out the year, and will be joined for the 2009-2010 season in Coral Gables by highly rated PF Donovan Kirk who choose Miami over Michigan State among others, and SG Garrius Adams from North Carolina who committed to Miami yesterday. Adams is rated among the best shooting guards in the country by Scout.com, and is 6'-5'', giving Miami the size it has lacked for years in the backcourt.
UM Hoops has never been hotter, even though many Canes fans continue to lament and obsess about the failures in football.
