Kirby Freeman who earned the ridicule of Miami fans despite leading a game winning drive in Tallahassee against arch rival FSU in 2007 and winning a bowl game in 2006 appears to be in the drivers seat to claim the starting QB job at Baylor. Freeman has enrolled in graduate level classes and is eligible to play this year. Coach Art Briles also has highly touted freshman Michael Griffin and returning starter Blake Szymanski to consider.
