I don't normally like to promote items in the Florida Times-Union (or the Times Onion as I sometimes call it) but today they have a gem. An interview with Kirby Hocutt, the incoming Miami AD.
Hocutt's view on the move to Dolphins Stadium is from my perspective typical of an outsider. I understand the move has helped recruiting, but I can almost guarantee you it will not help in the results department even if more 5-star recruits sign with Miami.
The subject of playing non-league games in Jacksonville comes up and it is well known that Miami offered to play Notre Dame in Jacksonville as a one off games (much like FSU did with Alabama did last season) and as with every other inquiry about playing from Miami in the last eighteen years, Notre Dame rejected it.

From the standpoint of an AD the move from the OB is a good one simply because of revenue. The sooner people like you get over it the better for all of us.
Why didn't Hocutt correct the interviewer who said we were just moving into the Bank United Center? The facility is being upgraded along with the opening of the new practice facility. We've played there for five seasons now.
NOTRE DAME ARE FREAKING WIMPS!
AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED WE HAVE BEATEN THEM EVERY SINCE 1991 BY FORFEIT.
Caniac you are full of it. Half those years including the last 3 or 4, ND would have crushed Miami. If your fans weren't so prone to violent behavior at the games and thuggish behavior on the town the series may still be going on.
