As was the case a year ago, All Canes has asked me to write a season in review article on Hurricane Basketball. I should complete the article by tomorrow at the latest and will link it when it is posted. Secondly, I am beginning a new website venture called The Kartik Report,
which much like the original Florida College Sports blog will discuss all the teams in the state of Florida. Some key differences as to why this new site will be more successful than the last is that we brining in different correspondents to cover their teams and not to bash other schools, and secondly the site will be devoted entirely to Basketball. Those looking for College Football content need not visit the site.
The new site will not take me in any way shape or form away from Canes Rising. As I mentioned above we're in the process of bringing in correspondents to cover the other teams, and the articles and content at the new site will be compelling and in some cases items I may personally disagree with. While their will be come overlap in coverage in particular of Miami Basketball, the two sites will remain unique and distinct products.

I won't visit if it is a basketball only site. What's next, a College Baseball site?
Don't you get it? People only care about Basketball for a few months in March. Football is a year round obsession.
