Shields Back into the Starting Lineup

I am greatly relieved to learn that Randy Shannon today announced the return of Sam Sheilds, for my money the only potential game breaker currently on the Miami roster to the starting lineup, for the first time this season. Shields has been in the doghouse all year, having been suspended for the Marshall game for undisclosed reasons and then having been relegated to the scout team versus Duke due to not practicing hard enough. My hope is that Shields has learned his lesson about goofing off and is ready to try and make Miami bowl eligible down the stretch this season. Shields caught 37 passes for over 500 yards as a true freshman last year, but has not featured much this season thus far.

What good is this when we have the two worst QBs in the country?

Rumor has it Sam Shields will be suspended for the GT game this Saturday. I was down at practice and he was with the scout team again. I overheard coaches yelling at him that he left skid marks in his jock strap after Monday's practice.
