Predictions for Florida's 2007 Season

Florida's Football program has won two national championships since the start of 2007. The Fiesta Bowl, for the BCS title, and the most off the field incidents of any major D-1 program. Right now Florida resembles the old Miami and Florida State, so the next time a Gator accuses the Hurricanes or Noles of being thugs, well just point out the Gators rap sheet which is much longer than those programs combined over the past few seasons. Here is a look ahead to Florida's 2007 campaign.

vs Western Kentucky W 49-0

Classic scheduling by the Gators.

vs Troy W 56-17

Troy is a better program than many may realize and they gave FSU a tough time last year.

vs Tennessee W 27-20

Always tough, but really how good are the Vols in big games the past few seasons?

@ Ole Miss W 31-17

Eli Manning beat the Gators in back to back years the last time these two teams played.

Vs Auburn W 38-14

The Gators get revenge for last year's loss in a big way

@ LSU L 24-27

The Tigers have too much speed on offense to be beat at home.

@ Kentucky W 34-24

A lazy effort before the big game in Jacksonville

vs Georgia (Jax) L 17-20

I have a feeling this is the year the Dawgs finally step up and beat the Gators

Vs Vanderbilt W 45-17

Finally UF plays a solid game against Vandy after three straight cliffhangers

@ South Carolina L 20-31

You didn't really think I'd pick the Gators to beat the old ball coach, did you?

Vs Florida Atlantic W 64-0

A joke

Vs Florida State W 31-24

FSU arguably has the better talent but has not beaten a good team on the road in a while (sorry folks, beating Miami doesn't count anymore) so it is tough to see them winning in the swamp.

FINAL RECORD: 9-3 SEC: 5-3

Stewart Mandel is writing today in SI.com about UF's ugly offseason, which by the way was no uglier than the last offseason when we had Gator fans on these boards attacking Miami and FSU fans of being thugs.

This is so typical of you. You are lowballing UF and UM's win total so you can claim they over achieve and you will pick FSU to win the title so you can bash them when they lose a few games.

Seriously, you're going to say that FSU may have better overall talent than UF? You're way off base. Look at the recruiting over that last 4 years.

There's a numerical comparison...but I think the overall records of the 2 teams over the last 3 years says the same thing. UF is more talented than FSU.

I agree except I change the Loss to Georgia to a Win. I think the gators will have another loss, I just don't think to Georgia.

God Bless
