Gators Move to #1 in Both Polls

The Gators are back at #1 in both polls following a big win @ South Carolina Saturday which was coupled with North Carolina's blowout loss in Blacksburg against Seth Greenberg's Va Tech Hokie team. UCLA just got by USC and thus was unable to reclaim the top spot. Expect several more losses from UCLA this season as the PAC 10 from team 1 to team 9 seems to be just daunting. (the 10th place team Arizona State is horrible.) In fact, I do not remember a league in recent years this good top to almost bottom although the Big East a few years ago certainly could make a case.

The Gators have been on cruise control and look better than ever. The loss to ACC also ran Florida State is distant in the rear view mirror for both clubs (FSU is in last place in the ACC, and has yet to win a road game against a team in a power league) and the Gators now have a number one ranking to defend in upcoming games.
