What Could Have Been: What Should Have Been

Watching tonight's Emerald Bowl reinforced why exactly I had picked Florida State to play for the National Title this season. Tonight the Noles showed the superior speed on offense that I knew they had. They showed how to use a multi dimensional back like Lorenzo Booker, and they showed that with a tall receivers like Greg Carr and D'Cody Fagg anything is possible. On defense, they showed that they had playmakes like Tony Carter, Buster Davis and Geno Hayes. Oh and yes they showed once again they can block kicks and score TDs on special teams. Considering Miami who also had a bad year doesn't have half the talent FSU does, why exactly did the Noles lose as many games as a Miami team, that in some ways overperformed to finish 6-6? (Before you jump on me Canes fans, I am not sure a single player on Miami's offense except Greg Olsen would make the 2 deep on FSU's depth chart.) Answers are needed for why FSU showed up for a meaningless bowl game after showing such little interest in the games that counted during the season. What could have been......what should have been......FSU Football in 2006.

Get off your high horse already. Yeah, FSU is so great for beating a nobody team as UCLA.

No he isn't. Your right. FSU had so much potential this year they blew it all. I think coaching had a huge part and and confidence with our extremely young football team. Also we had 5 season ending injurys that were on our two deep.
