I understand that Randy Shannon is going to be the UM Coach, a hiring I am adamently against. Fans like me will support Shannon regardless, but I have one simple request. Please mine the country for talented staff outside of greater South Florida and outside of the Jimmy Johnson coaching tree. The cult around Jimmy Johnson has destroyed both the "U" and local professional football team. It's time we became Miami again, and it's time we went out and hired the best in business from outside. Randy Shannon, take a page from Larry Coker post Peach Bowl and look for talented assistants. Don't bring back Art Kehoe, and Don Soldinger, please. Make Miami a competent program again.
