Media Reports seem to confirm that Florida State is closing in on LSU's Jimbo Fisher to replace the departed Jeff Bowden as Offenisve Coordinator. Fisher would have to take a major pay cut to coach at FSU, but he played for Terry Bowden at Samford and then coached with him at both Samford and Auburn. Fisher was was passed over for the UAB Head Coaching job last week and had also interviewed with NC State. This would be a big hire for FSU, and would demonstrate that Dave Hart and Bobby Bowden are dealy serious about restoring Florida State to its rightful place among the national elite of College Football.
