Gator Thursday

Well what a game for the Gators this past Saturday versus highly ranked (but totally unproven) Ohio State at the O'Connell Center. Al Horford gave a gutsy effort despite injury and he not only totally shut down Greg Oden in the second half, but he chipped in a double double of his own. Joakhim Noah was relatively quiet but his emotion and leadership helped steer the Gators through a rough patch at the end of the first half and in the first few minutes of the second half.

A big key for this Gator team is the ability of Taurean Green to control the tempo of the game from the point guard spot, and his ability to shoot off the dribble. Dan Werner has begun contributing off the bench as I expected in before the season and right now the Gators seem once again to be clicking on all cylinders. The top tier of the SEC with the exception of the Gators has fared poorly in non league matchups to this point in the season, so the Gators, two time defending SEC Tournament champs have a good opportunity to add an outright regular season title (the last outright title the Gators won was in 1989, and that title was somewhat tainted by probation) to the trophy case in Gainesville.

Kartik, how many times do you have be told NOBODY gives a shit about Basketball in December. Who cares. Let the Gators win the title, then have national signing day and then maybe we'll play attention based on where the Gators are in the polls. You are as bad a Jorge.

I agree with Gatorman. The amount of B/s about Basketball and baseball on this site is sickening. Can't you spend that time covering something people care about, like FOOTBALL.

Me too. This garbage during Bowl season makes me sick. How about a wrap up of the bowl action instead of meaningless updates on meaningless games nobody cares about.
