Miami held Va Tech to 129 yards of total offense last night, yet had ZERO chance to win! The reality is with Miami's poor recruiting, increased academic standards, and unwillingness to properly invest athletic department profits into improved facilities and hiring top coaches, Miami WILL BE laughingstock in the ACC, in all major sports for the foreseeable future. We'll discuss this later in the week, but the Miami administration needs to make a decision if they want to continue to pursue a strategy that leaves Miami in the same boat as Vanderbilt and Northwestern in major sports, or whether they want to drop to division 1AA in football (or drop to a smaller, less competitive D1A conference). What is obvious is that Miami, will never consistently contend for bowl births or conference titles again. It goes far beyond Larry Coker and Kyle Wright. It is a cancer that has spread throughout the athletic department and we will discuss this in greater detail later in the week.
Addendum from Canes Sport on how crazy the situation has become:
Mr. Wright (Kyle Wright's father) exchanged a few f-bombs with the fans who were telling his boy to "Go back to California, you (expletive)." There was a lot more colorful language between the group before Mr. Wright called out stadium security guards by saying "why don't you people in yellow shirts get up there and shut that f---er up." Athletic director Paul Dee, always in and around the UM lockerroom after games, saw what was happening and along with some UM staff tried to quell the situation by yelling at Mr. Wright to hush up and not bother with the fans. Mr. Wright didn't like that and responded, "When the hell is somebody [f---ing] going to stick up for my son?"

Kartik, I think Miami is in a downward spiral that will last perhaps 3-4 years tops. Its not like the ACC is a tough football conference and with the moving of the FSU game to the end of the year, Miami will always have a chance. They may have to pray long and hard for FSU to have injuries come October, but at least they will have more of a chance.
The problem is in recruiting. Miami will lose that battle for the forseeable future due to Florida's consistency and direction. UM will promise playing time for its recruits, but without better coaching, those high school players will get dominated by upper classmen from other teams.
Did I see UM fans picking up their tents and camping gear so they could hop onto another bandwagon and root for a tough team like FIU?
Sports Authority ran out of canoes and paddles last night/this morning as all those refugee fans headed to the beach in order to paddle home!
I would like to see Miami move to D1A. The ACC has turned into a conference of thugs and a private school shouldn't be associated with such an element.
I believe inter-species breeding in South Florida has created weaker slower players.

It's been tough being a 250 pound, acne infested, non-sorority senior, who still lives in the dorms with 3 freshman girls. They have tons of guys hooking up with them, and they always make me jealous when they get picked up and taken out (and eaten out).
The funny thing was, after Kyle and I did it after eating at Denny's (many times!!!), I told my roomies that I got laid by the Quarterback of the Hurricanes!!
and they all laughed... now I'm a bigger loser than I was before, and actually feel bad that I slept with him :(
We regret to inform the university of miami that they have NOT been accepted into DII, because of their lack of competitive nature, we feel that they would bring the conference down. I forwarded their application to DIII, where I think they will be accepted with open anuses.
I have no pity or sympathy for Miami.
Have you all noticed that the usual Cane supporters are absent from this blog? they have all left and I am half thrilled and half saddened by there absence. There is no one left to say "hey we used to win championships all the time," or perhaps "our athletes are not criminals, they are just misunderstood" and also "we beat you in 1973..."

Miami's attempt to "get with the times" is proof that any shine remaining on that University is gone. Miami has to look no further than Notre Dame than to find a program model to copy. However, even Notre Dame wouldnt let the inmates run the asylum like at UM.

Willie Williams had a 3.0 HS GPA. That's why he got in. Miami has lost lots of players recently like Nate Harris and the RB at NC State (Brown I think his name is) because they couldn't get into UM. LeShaun McCoy this year couldn't get into UM either after signing with the Canes and will play for Penn State. Is UM a racist school since they are subjecting their signees to a higher SAT score, a racist test? Maybe.

Willie williams got into Miami because Donna Shalalala let him in. He was going to be her pet project. Her philanthropic way of helping out the low-class, ghetto bastard, illegitimate baby making people of Miami. She was on a mission to show the faculty that she could take a big turd piece of shit, use it like a dildo, let it play football, and then graduate in 4 years.

Since less and less people view Miami as a leader in the academic realm, the $$ isnt coming in. The graduating alumni isnt wealthy enough to give back and the cutting-edge research isnt allowing growth. Since the football program has always been the meal ticket to prosperity, its recent sub-par performance has got Miami by the balls on its chin.... and those arent chin nuts!
If UM wants to focus on making itself an institution of higehr learning, they better figure out a way to drop football, Larry Coker, Kyle Wright, and the rest of those bafoons called football players.
This sport American footyball is fun. Back in my country we Canes fans and think Larry Coker best coach in U.S. of A. We get games during Tuesday on channel 2.
Are Favorite player is Michael Irvin. He talk real loud and make funny comments about footyball.
