Random Thoughts

  • Tommy Tuberville spent too much time this week blasting the BCS and not preparing his team for Arkansas.
  • What a win for the Gators! Reggie Nelson was awesome as was the re-instated Marcus Thomas. Oh and that Tebow guy was okay also!
  • Gotta love Chris Leak. Despite all the criticisms of Gator fans, he has adjusted well to Dan Mullen's play calling and is showing how good he can be.
  • Les Miles as I said time and time again last season is one of the worst coaches in America. When Nick Saban's recruits leave the program, LSU will collapse into the state they were in during the Curley Hallman years.
  • Clemson's come from behind win over Wake puts the Tigers in good shape to win the ACC Atlantic Division.
  • Miami continues to embaress itself week in and week out, and was fortunate to escape at home today with a win over a horrible Tar Heel team. Don't be shocked if lowly Florida International is crowned Miami-Dade county champs next week at the Orange Bowl. (Five years ago Miami was the best team in the nation and FIU was just starting its Football program.....boy how times change.)
  • John Bunting may not have a job next year at this time, but he finally found Darian Durrant's replacement after almost two years of looking: Cam Sexton is going to be a good one!
  • Bob Stoops needs to bring his own officials to games outside of Norman. Oklahoma absolutely cannot get a call this season.
  • What a gut check win for Georgia Tech over Maryland. Sam Hollenbach played well for the Terps, but Calvin Johnson as always made the difference.
  • Southern Cal keeps winning, for those of you critics scoring at home. Should coulda woulda seems to be the mantra of fans when knocking the Trojans. They are still unbeaten though.

I would be stunned if Miami beats both FIU and Duke. Here are some more of my thoughts:

1) Bruce Johnson must be replaced as return man. You can't tell me there isn't a better returner somewhere on the team.

2) Brian Monroe cannot be allowed to keep kicking the ball out bounds. You can't just let your kickoff man shoot you in the foot every week.

3) Brandon Meriweather needs to play safety. I don't know if he was nursing an undisclosed injury today or not. But it looks like having him at CB will kill us against decent competition.

4) A linebacker has to start making plays. Somebody. Anybody.

5) Let's run the single wing with J.James taking snaps and C. Jones, D. Thomas or T. Moss in the backfield. We have such bad QB play we'd be better off running on every single play.

Quit the sucking up to Chris Leak. We all know the fans and team alike have more confidence in Tebow. So long as we keep winning, Leak will start but if we lose a game don't be shocked if Urban makes the switch.

You make a lot of good points and intermix it with pure fantasy and nonsense in saying North Carolina almost beat Miami. What game were you watching to come to that conclusion? I was Miami smash UNC from the word go? You are shameless in your campaign to run down the Hurricane program and players.

1. Admittedly UNC is a sorry team, but the Hurricanes were never in danger of "almost" losing the contest.

2. If anyone thinks that UM will lose to FIU or Duke, I'll takr that bet straight up.

3. Leak is the starting QB because Urban Meyer knows he is better than Tebow. Tebow will probably become UF's best QB ever, but that does not mean that he is Leak's qual right now at reading defenses and decision making. Leak is not losing the game for us -- have some patience.

Miami is improving. Baby steps. They never told NC to suck this year so they would have easy competition. At least they didn't lose to any unranked teams like NCSU. Miami may not win the ACC, but they should have a respectable end to the season. If only we had a quality offensive coordinator like Jeff Bowden. We are so jealous.

FLORIDA IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE STATE, QUITE POSSIBLY THE NATION!

ALL YOU HATERS CAN SMOKE MY SCHLONG!

I do not want to bet agianst my own team, but Miami's win in Blacksburg last year was the "last hurrah" for a dying program. It was nice to see because the one demon the early 2000s Canes team had while they were ravaging the rest of College Football was their consistent underperformance against Va Tech even in victories.

The question is not whether Miami will lose to FIU OR Duke but whether they will lose to both. Miami is the worst team in the ACC away from hom this year having scored just 7 points, this coming a year after they had a 4-1 road record. The bottom has fallen out from the Canes wagon.

FIU almost won at Maryland and USF. Not only are both teams better than Miami, but those games were in hostile environments. The OB will be filled with FIU fans Saturday Night. An "upset" is around the corner, unless Miami improves dramatically this week.

Duke was a blocked FG away from winning @ Wake. They gave Bama a rough time last night at Bryant-Denny. They haven't won an ACC game in two years. As Jim Rome said the other day every team that is used to being smashed by UM smells blood in the water and thus I believe Duke will win the game in Durham. Everyone plays up to Miami because it is a big game for them while Miami goes through the motions. We have seen it time and again, and this year USC is having a similar problem, but they still have not lost.

Do you realize the last time Miami lost a game to ta team that finished a season below .500 was 1979? Both Duke and FIU are winless! No way. You are crazy and need to be sent away to an institution.

Southern Cal will lose very soon.

Kyle is improving every game. He just led Miami to a tough win against a very hungry North Carolina team.

I think the Canes are on their way to play in the ACC championship.

I'm looking forward to smashing the rest of the ACC and scoring over 30 pts against a Division I opponent.

I think Ryan Moore should be allowed to play. The night he choked me and wouldn't let go it was my fault.

I had it coming, cause I'm a big cock tease.

I apologize to all the Miami fans for ruining Ryan's and their season.

Word out of Coral Gables this week is that they have the 3rd best QB recruit coming in the nation in for a visit.

I don't know his name but he's 6'4" 225 and is from California.

Will a win against FIU be impressive enough for him to be a Cane?

I was at the game this weekend and thought Kirby looked terrible.

I thought our running game was great and our o-line was really improved.

Kyle looked better and I expect to run the table.

If we played FSU now we'd beat them 37 to 10. They are so bad losing to NC State.

I hope we get to play them in the ACC championship!!

Southern Cal is getting so lucky.

Paul Dee has been spotted at the Dadeland Golden Corral and didn't leave a tip for the wait staff.

Shockingly he made only 14 trips to the buffet and 3 to the men's room.

Shit maan...I cleaned da shitter and Mr. Dee didn't flush.

Top 5 Reasons the Canes will once again dominate College Football:

1) Javarris James

2) Javarris James

3) Javarris James

4) Sam Shields

5) Ryan Hill

I almost came in my shorts when Sam Shields caught his first TD as a cane. I was so excited I get a semi and would've left a skid mark in my underwear if I ate that crap they call food at the Orange Bowl.

Report from the UM locker room after the game: Earl Little waws not so Little and Baraka Short was not so short. And John Peattie was hung like an elephant. No wonder he keeps making the kicks wide right.

Cane Fanatic,

Where do you get your info on this top QB recruit whose coming this week?

Don't post fake things on this site if you don't have the facts to back it up.

Bruce Johnson's goal this year is to get his punt return avg. up to 3 yards for the season.
