Most underrated and overrated NFL players from Florida Schools

MOST OVERATED:

1- CLINTON PORTIS

Portis is an average NFL Running Back, whose own clever self promotion has the media in love with him. Portis ran behind an outstanding line at both UM (where Willis McGahee proved after Portis left, what a great back could do with a great line) and Denver and now has done little to improve the Redskins. Bet they wish they had Champ Bailey back.

2- SEAN TAYLOR

I'm not sure why everyone thinks Taylor is so great. He makes mental mistakes and often times gets lost while chasing the ball. He also over pursues plays in seach of a big hit. I would not want him on my team.

3- EDGERRIN JAMES

Did it ever occur to people that James was effective because he happened to play with Peyton Manning? James injury in 2001 resulted in Domminic Rhodes, a marginal NFL player accumulating similar statistics. James' move to Arizona this year has revealed how average he really is.

4- JEVON KEARSE

Kearse had two outstanding seasons in Tennessee before becoming an injury problem and a lineman that would get blown off the ball. Kearse hasn't been a consistent pass rusher since 2000 and is again injured for the season.

5- DAUNTE CULPEPPER

Warren Moon, Brad Johnson, Randall Cunningham and Jeff George all put up similar numbers as Minnesota's QB. For that matter so did Gus Frerotte. The Dolphins proved once again what a bad franchise they were by trading for this guy.

MOST UNDERATED

1- ASANTE SAMUEL

The UCF product is a gamer and has been a critical cog in New England's championship defense. A typical Pats player who is unspectacular but has the uncanny knack to make big plays when they are most needed.

2- LITO SHEPPARD

Sheppard was so good his first two seasons in Philly that the Eagles jettisoned both starting corners to make way for him. He is a special cover corner with a big play knack.

3- ANQUAN BOLDIN

I suppose Boldin would be a big deal if he played somewhere else in the NFL. But playing for Arizona means he can continue to pile up 100 catch seasons in total obscurity.

4- WARRICK DUNN

To understand how good Warrick Dunn is you actually have to watch him for an entire game. Undersized, Dunn sacrifices his body as a blocker and as a decoy while he continues to be one of the best smallish, "scat backs" in Football.

5- ANDRE JOHNSON

It's hard to call the #3 overall pick of the draft underated, but Johnson'S misfortune was going to Houston. He is probably one of the best receivers in Football, but being on the Texans means that nobody outside of Houston notices.

Kartik's hatchet job on the miami program continues. You'd be laughed out of any room of respectable people for your opinions on Portis and James.

What about Albert Connel? Or does he not play anymore?

You forgot about some stellar picks such as Peter Warrick, Ken Dorsey, Chris Weinkie, Thad Busby, Danny Kannell, and Sebastian Janikowski. All very high quality guys that did wonders for their team. Sometimes I wonder if Trev Alberts and Lawerence Phillips really wanted to go to FSU and Miami?

Hi everyone, I am an egotistical cunt lover that writes for cbs.sportsline and probably some other media publication. I love to bring race into every article i write even though i am the whitest black person ever... but dont tell anyone i went to a private school for upper class blacks in Connecticut.

My latest story is about how evil it is for Urban Meyer to ruin the Heisman for Chris Leak just so the Florida Gators can win a Championship.

That white coach is keeping a black QB from winning that award just so his team can share a title. He is letting some ho-hum white boy corn eater play QB when it really should be Chris Leak losing, er I mean winning games. Why isnt Chris Leak in on 4th and 1? Because Urban Meyer doesnt wants to keep him from being a hero. He wants a white boy apple pie cracker to score.

Read my columns and you will agree that us black folks are always oppressed by the honkey.

To keep a single player from winning the Heisman just so your team can win more games and possibly compete for a title is crazy white-power hatred of the black QB.

What about Travis McGriff of the Arena League.

I'd have him at 14th.

I am wondering if we should drop Miami from the schedule so we can play a stronger slate? Maybe replace Miami with Tulsa or New Mexico State?

I was wondering the same thing. Playing FSU this season is killing our power rating. We should have played Louisiana Monore instead!

Are you crazy?

Thank goodness you didn't slander Santana Moss also. I would hunt you down and spear you like a bison about to be a tasty piece of meat!

What about Devin Hester?

What about Frank Gore?

What about Ran Carthon?

Seriously, what about Andre Davis?

How about Sexy Rexy Grossman? He's been under-rated for a while due to his injury problems.

How about Danny Wuerffel?
