The last few years Florida and in particular Miami have experimented with different uniform combinations. Last season Florida wore a blue top with an orange spot during a game with Georgia and a throwback this past week versus Bama. Miami has been even more creative featuring a throwback uniform that looked like Notre Dame's big game green unis last year versus North Carolina, and an all dark green uniform (with an orange patch) versus Georgia Tech. Miami has also experimented with its pants, and for a while wore shiny orange pants for big games and has now replaced that with an all white look for big games on the road. (I believe the all white look is hideous, but the Miami players and fans seem to love it.)
Obviously copying Miami's all white look, but never wanting to be like Miami, FSU has unveiled an all black uniform that they will wear versus Boston College and possibly Florida this year. The pants pay tribute to the Seminole Tribe of Florida with the motto "unconquered" on the pants. The Seminoles, as most Floridians know frustrated the United States army as they drifted into the Everglades and were never subjugated as a nation the way other Indian tribes were.

What a joke! FSU furthers its rep for being out of control and lawless. You will see all the gangsters in the streets wearing these uniforms while holding up Seven Eleven.

Perhaps its foreshadowing of the black we will be wearing at the FSU funerals following losses to NC State, BC, and Florida this season... Then they will wear all black once again as Bobby and Jeff get sent packing after another season of falling short of expectations and harnessing of talent.

The all white is especially nasty on UM because they have white helmets also. From time to time the Gators wear all white also, but since we have an orange helmet it isn't as noticible. Whit Watson of Sun Sports had a nice commentary on the all white Miami unis last year on Rec Warehouse College Kickoff.
As for the FSU unis, I think they look bad ass!

While these uniforms are bad, as far as tacky alternate uniforms they are far from the worst I have seen.

well, they aren't. give whatever pathetric 'honoring seminole nation' crap you want. if you really want to honor them, why dont you run a clean program, stop trying to injure opposing players, stop recruiting crooks, and if your players steal and cheat and lie, then kick them off, even if they are the best player on your team and you are going to play in the natl champ game despite playing in a conference as weak as byu or boise st.
somday, i hope the seminole nation gets tired of being associated with the dirtiest, least ethical, corrupt program in the history of football, and will remove the name. if that happens, then maybe the place can go back to being a women's teaching college, and we'll neverf have to worry about them ruining another football season by tainting the game.
and the black unis are a cheap way to try and renew interest in a progrfam that is plummeting like a rock.
get ready now...there will be no more acc championships, no more being the worst team playing in the bcs and runing one of the bowl games, and the losing record...its coming. it WILL happen, and more than once.
and i say, good. karma is a bitch, and they desrve it for all the years they used to run tthe score up on wake and duke and maryland. i hope those programs remember those days, and take it out on them publicly and in humiliating fashion...and oh, the pounding that will come at the hands of the gators. talk about 2 teams going in opposite directions! get ready for florida to start pulling top 5 classes, since you wont be able to hide behind their being on ncaa probation anymore, which is the only reaso the program was able to ever succeed anyway. if charley pell hadnt screwed up. the noles would be what tghey are now, and deserve to be ...a 4th rate university w/a pathetic athletc dept trying to keep up with real programs with real facilities, stuck in a place which should not even allow itself to be called florida...seriously, the anhandle is alabama south, and think its funny when you accuse the gator fans of being rednecks, as if anyone BUT toothless inbreds live up there.
no program deserve its every loss more than f$u. no program should just be folded up and forgotten, its unearned trophies given back and the whole thing apologized for.
the worst thing i could call a person would be a nole. that is the biggest insult i can think of, and it means someone who opposes everythjing good and pure and right.
and how, exactly, does thatgreen...ERRRRR...black uni celebrate ANYTHING? is it with that STUPID writing on the side? irnic that they put "unconquered' on their legs, then go out and proceed to lose at home in them. its a cheap publicity stunt, and like everything else about that place, it does nothing to honor, and everything to SHAME the great seminole people.
UF and miami have never worn a uniform, even those horrible orange sleeve things, that look as embarrassing as those...but then again, there is no greater shame than wearing that stupid spear/arrowhead on your head.
and frankly, i am waiting for the dasy when some team, after beating them again at the joak, take that damn spear and SNAPS IT OVERT THEIR KNEE!!!!
