Florida College Sports Blog has learned that Darnell Jenkins, Miami's leading returning receiver is likely out for the season with a torn PCL. This is a devastating blow for Coach Larry Coker as he attempts to save his job. According to Gary Fearman the publisher of Cane Sport, Jenkins practices yesterday but that swelling in his knee has recurred and that fluid keeps building up. The Hurricanes are now one Lance Leggett injury away from starting two true freshman at Wide receiver. True Freshmen Sam Shields from Sarasota and Ryan Hill from Tallahassee now will be counted on even more heavily to save the Canes floundering season.
SATURDAY MORNING UPDATE: MIAMI IS CONSIDERING TO APPLYING TO THE NCAA FOR A MEDICAL REDSHIRT. IF GRANTED, JENKINS A SENIOR WOULD GAIN AN ADDITIONAL YEAR OF ELIGIBILITY.

That is too bad. At least they will have someone to blame their losses on other than Coker.
I agree with anonymous... more ammunition for those "cane fan excuse mongers"
HUGE LOSS FOR THE CANES!
K, do you still think FSU will win the national title?
Seriously, someone of your football iq should know better than to pick a group of total losers.
