Note the Dee is spelled incorrectly in the second banner. Any thoughts?

Jim Rome, I could so easily cut on the Gator fans for any number of things including all of your illiterate fans who DID NOT ATTEND UF and drive around Putnam, Gilchrist, Columbia, Clay and the other po dung counties that surround Gainesville in pickup trucks with shotguns in their beds. Trust me I have worked in these counties and they are about the scariest place for a Jewish boy like myself from Brooklyn. I'll take Little Havana and the Hispanics any day of the week. Is because of your insecurity about the cosmoploitan nature when compared with the backwoods nature of the "Gator Nation" that upsets you? Is that why you have to make so many cracks about hispanics in Miami?

You need to grow up.

I'm not saying Coker is a great coach, but you people have got to understand a number of FACTS. Watching this team, there are some clear reason why we are in this situaton.

1. Recruiting: we have a serious lack of talent on this team in key areas. This is not necessarily Coker's fault. One of those key areas is our QB, which nobody can argue was a top, if not the top, prospect out of HS. If anyone is paying attention, fact is Shalala has ordered the athletic program to pass on kids that are borderline. Depending on how that order came down, your issues may be better directed to Shalala than Coker and Co. We have also lost a ton of talent early to the pros and it simply hard to always recover from that.

2. You can clearly see where the problems are and it's talent. Either it's not there or it very young and in the process of being developed. KW flat out sucks. The OL is pretty terrible, but young and maybe shows promise. There's nothing from our WRs, except from our freshmen.

Look, Coker did great with talent and is doing poorly with no talent. Same as Butch. We have lost the recruiting wars the past few years by either losing players or having them not pan out. But with guys like Sam Shields, Jason Fox and Baby J, you can see how that will turn around. nobody can recruit perfectly all the time. And Shalala may be a big reason why that is happening.

3. Our defense is terrible. I can't say enough bad things about that unit and Shannon. If not for a very weak Houston OL, we lose that game. We simply have no DBs. How can they be that bad???

Lots of poor talent all over that team. And why the eff if Wright still starting? I'm sorry, but Freeman deserves the right to get a shot. Poor guy should have transfered.

I have no insecurities and your fears of farmers or what you call "rednecks" is absurd.

Perhaps its just that you are a pussy! Coming from Brooklyn or rather "crooklyn" I would have hoped you had tougehr skin and perhaps a little self respect.

Your religion is irrelevant here. Unless you go around acting like a schmuck and telling everyone you meet, "I dont eat pork!" no one would ever know.

You cant honestly tell me there arent plenty of redneck hermits living in Monroe county that arent hurricane fans. Or perhaps you mean to tell me that all those neighborhoods from 441 to I-95 along Broward Blvd root arent hurricane fans.

When was the last time you did a literacy test on the Gator Nation? Our enrollment is over 48,000. We have more fans than you have. We sell more license plates to non-stolen car drivers than you do. Merhcnadise sales dont mean shit. Visit Hialeah and I am sure you can find plenty of off-license shirt makers. Just like the Marlins had plenty of "counterfeit" printers when they won the WS.

Why dont you celebrate your day of atonement and get inscribed in the book before you start the year off on the wrong foot.

You like little Havana over "country folk" simply beacuse youa re probably 5'7" and Mexicans and Cubans are the only ones you are taller than.

BEEEYOTCH!

Atleast those fans in "Putnam, Gilchrist, Columbia, Clay and the other po dung counties that surround Gainesville" can afford to buy and drive a car.

Are we going to talk sports on here or race, nationality and region people are from. Kartik, you started this with your Yankee comment which I thought were spot on but maybe you should have used another term. Now the others on this blog have taken the racism and ethnic arguments to the max. Please stop it.

You want my thoughts? Here goes......It was very disappointing to see the negativity demonstrated by some of our so called fans wasting money to disparage Coker and Dee.

You people make us the laughing stock of college football by showing the nation how disfunctional our fan base really is. You embarrass us and our program even more than some of our performances on the field.

Do us real fans a favor and just go cry in your little corner until the seasons over. Then a decision will be made regarding the future and leadership of our program.

jim rome you are always entertaining but are sometimes dead wrong. Those merchandise sales in which Miami is 5th in the nation while Florida is 21st is kept by Nike and the other official outfitters for the respective teams. (Notre Dame ranked # 1 is an Addidas school) Illegal knock offs like the ones you saw in Hialeah are not included in the figure.

Florida's 48,000 do not produce idiots, but I am afraid USF anf FIU's 40,000 do.

If they were so "irrelevant" or stupid or whatever you want to label them, then why would so many media outlets give them attention? When Jorge Milan, The Sporting News , ESPN and others are bringing them to the atention of the public and the program you KNOW you've got a sweet thing.

I'm confident that had Larry the loser blown that Houston game he'd be gone this week, no doubt in my mind. And the banners as well as message board flames would have contributed to the public hysteria to sack him.

Here we go again with all the neagtives and crying. Dude, if you are going to be negative in every post, go cheer for the Gators or Irish. I know you all want coker gone, but he's here for the rest of the season, deal with it.

I agree with you 100%. I watch and rewatch the games and QB play is killing us. Have you ever seen Kyle escape the pocket and then look down the field for open receivers, NO! Thats just the tip of the ice berg i'm not saying Kirby's better but nothing but good can come out of getting kirby some real playing time.

Would you take Chris Rix over Kyle Wright?

Would you take Chris Rix over Kyle Wright?

Rix by a mile. He had heart and was a gamer. He was horrible against the blitz and made bad decisions with the ball but he won a lot of games by bringing his team from behind (one game against GT in particular he threw two late TDs to win by a point)and firing up his team. He also was a good scrambler.

Wright has never led a 4th qtr comeback in his career and has thrown just 1 td pass in the 4th qtr of any game. Kyle Wright is the Bobby Sabelhaus of this era.

Wright is the worst QB that has started at Miami in the 25 years I have watched the Canes and that includes Frank Costa and Ryan Clement.

From the urban dictionary.

Cokerized 44 up, 2 down

"To be overwhelmed with apathy. To lose confidence, vitality, and aggression, especially in the face of a heart-breaking loss."

I used to get ticked off when the Hurricanes would lose, but now I've almost come to expect it. I've been Cokerized.

After FIU beats you guys, you'll officialy be the NC State of Florida. Weak to a team with inferior talent in your own backyard. We've lost to East Carolina and lose every year to UNC who sucks.

Enough about Coker already. I ahte him too but he is here till the end of the year. LET'S TALK ABOUT THE FRIGGIN QB WHO WAS THE #1 RECRUIT IN THE NATION. THIS GUY HAS NO BUSINESS BEING ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD. HE IS THE WORST STARTING QB IN NCAA DIVISION 1A FOOTBALL.

If Kyle Wright had 1/10th the heart of Brock Berlin he'd be decent. He is the absolute pits.
