Talk about the good old days......

Those f'n scumbags thought they could come into the OB and strut to victory.

The damn CATHOLICS VS CONVICTS THING had pissed the whole town off down here. Notre Dame was cheating and we knew it and the media was in their corner and we knew it.

But we didn't give a shit. We went out and smoked their ass. They have NEVER been the same since that night! FATE NIGHT!

Was that QB Walsh or Erickson?

Erickson was the QB and the other Erickson was the coach.

I was at that game. Irish were the better team that day and each and every time they play the Canes.

5:51, You really believe that ND was better than Miami in those years?????

This game is one of my all time fondest memories. We carried the hopes of a whole region and those around the country who hated ND being forced down our throats.

Steve McGuire as a Freshman ran all over the vaunted ND front seven that night.

I'll never forget the classlessness Lou Holtz had demonstrated two years earlier when calling a timeout with :01 down 24-0 just to irritate the crowd.

For me Notre Dame will always be Miami's biggest rival even while you guys duck us to play the for the Commander and Chief Trophy.

Kartik, 5:51 responding. It was so obvious which is why we won in 1989. You may blame the refs but you are the crimicanes and we beat you cause we're better.

Miami's arrogant, criminal persona was during the Jimmy Johnson days. Remember before Penn State National Championship? The canes came off the plane wearing combat fatigues and refused to eat lunch with Penn State players. What is up with that. No wonder you carried that criminal stigma. Oh, and Notre Dame beat you in 1988. In fact knock the Canes out of the National Champ. picture and who won it that season....Notre Dame!!! Read 'em and weep.
