Well Nick Saban's honeymoon in Tuscaloosa may not be over yet, but the defection of Florida's Mr. Football, QB Robert Marve to Miami cannot help his cause. Miami and Alabama essentially traded QB commitments with Nick Fanuzzi of Texas ditching UM for Bama and Marve doing the opposite. Marve was swayed by new Miami Offensive Coordinator Patrick Nix, but this one signing does not mean Miami's problems on offense are solved. The banter on Miami's fan sites and message boards have over reacted to this news. Need we remind Canes fans that Kyle Wright was considered the top high school player in America when he signed with UM? Nonetheless, this is a very big signing for Randy Shannon and Patrick Nix as they rebuild Miami's offense.
